How did you two meet? We had always kind of ran in the same social circle, but didn’t really connect until almost senior year in college. We spent most of that year hanging out, studying and writing papers. Then we graduated and went our separate ways. Christina went to Philadelphia and Cam went to Lubbock, Texas. We stayed friends for a long time and both eventually ended up back in Amarillo, Texas. Five years after graduation we started dating and never looked back.
What was your most favorite memory from your wedding in Colorado? Umm, getting married in Colorado of course! All of it. We both loved taking a shot during the ceremony, seeing all our family, dancing our faces off. The whole thing was just the best day!
When planning a smaller intimate wedding in Colorado, what advice would you give new brides? Do what YOU want to do. Nobody is going to be upset by any decision you make that’s going to make you happy.
Why did you hire Brit Nicole Photography for one of your most important days? Uhhhh because she’s amazing in everything she does? We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!
Wedding Photographers Notes
I met Christina when she was a bridesmaid in one of my past weddings I shot in Amarillo, Texas. When Christina got engaged she reached out to me and I HAPPILY did my research to send her locations for her type of vision. I’m pretty sure I was the very first vendors she secured immediately after the proposal without even knowing the location 😉 I was totally okay with that because I knew we were going to have the wedding in Colorado, we just didn’t know where yet.
One of the very first things I do when I arrive at a wedding is go meet the other vendors involved then get set up. It’s rare that you find such amazing sweet vendors who truly open their arms to you and treat you with such kindness. I would 1,000,000% work with The Pinery at the Hill with Bobbie as the DJ over and over again. Such an amazing experience for me there. Christina + Cameron, thank you for inviting me along on this sacred day. It was a freaking blast and such a breath of fresh air to have mountains around for the wedding. Cameron, sorry for dragging your butt around Garden of the Gods, Christina and I just couldn’t help ourselves. Also, to Christina’s dad- you’re such a cool dude.
How amazing is it to have Twin Peaks as the backdrop to your Colorado Wedding?
This was one of the top best dinners I’ve ever has as a wedding photographer. The Pinery at the Hill outdid themselves AND it was all gluten free!
