How an Online Connection Blossomed into a Small Intimate Wedding in Palo Duro Canyon
From a facebook group to a Palo Duro Canyon Wedding
In a world where technology has revolutionized the way we connect, the story of this couple’s journey to the altar is a testament to the power of modern romance. It all began when the groom’s sister, eager to help her brother find his perfect match, posted a message in an online group, seeking a potential partner for him. Little did she know that her simple act would be the catalyst for a love story that would unfold in the most breathtaking of settings – the majestic Palo Duro Canyon.
The small, intimate ceremony was a true reflection of the couple’s journey. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they said “I do” against the backdrop of the canyon’s towering red rock formations, creating a moment that was both personal and awe-inspiring.
The newlyweds’ journey is a testament to the power of online connections and the enduring nature of true love. In a world where technology has transformed the way we find and cultivate relationships, this couple’s story serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful connections can stem from the most unexpected places.
A note from the newlyweds:
Last November, Keeley, Kelin’s sister, asked for Kelin’s permission to make a match making post to a Facebook group called Bits of Life. Bits of Life is a group that a bunch of women in the panhandle area are a part of. Jazlyn’s mom’s friend saw this post and tagged Jazlyn’s mom.
Jazlyn’s mom then posted several pictures of her on this thread that several other women had already commented on. Jazlyn then decided that she did not have anything to loose so she messaged Keeley to reach out about connecting with Kelin. Keeley gave Kelin her phone number. The two of them started texting everyday and then finally went on their first date on December 28, 2022. After the first date, both Kelin and Jazlyn knew they had met the person they would be with forever. There was something they felt that they had never felt with anyone else.
On May 27, 2023, Jazlyn was moving to Perryton Texas, meanwhile, Kelin’s family was setting up their new house for their proposal. When Kelin and Jazlyn arrived the living room was decorated with colors from Taylor Swift’s Lover album and photos of them.
Why did you chose to get married in Palo Duro Canyon?
We chose to adventure erasure we wanted something more intimate and focused on our relationship. Both of us are very intimate and intentional and we wanted our wedding to reflect that!
Why did you pick Brit Nicole as your Palo Duro Canyon Adventure Wedding Photographer?
From the moment we first talked to Brit, we knew she was the right choice! Brittney listened to what we wanted and helped us every step of the way! She wanted to make sure our day was filled with fun and centered around us; was a dream to work with! Brit was constantly making sure we were getting photos we wanted and kept us at the center of everything; was able to bring your vision to life and was able to have loads of fun with us!
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory was when were able to read our vows to each other. Both of us were able to put what we were feeling into words and profess that to each other. Getting to read them to each their was such a special moment.- Jazlyn
