Tyler + Sommer
Palo Duro Canyon Adventure Engagement
Brit Nicole Photography
How did you two meet? We high school rodeo’d together and were really good friends for years. He tried for several years to date me and I was never interested. We went to the same college and college rodeo’d together, also. My freshman year he finally convinced me to grab dinner with him as an official “date” and after that night we were pretty much inseparable.
What kicked it off that you knew he was the one? Since the first time he took me on a date I’ve just sort of known. That night made me realize so many things. He had been such a great friend for so many years and I realized I was missing out on so many things trying to date other guys when all of the qualities I was looking for were right in front of me. He’s the perfect gentlemen. He supports me in everything that I do. He encourages all of my wild and crazy dreams and ideas. He pushes me to be a better version of myself. And he works so hard to be the best version of himself for me and our relationship. He truly is my very best friend.
How did he propose? He tied the ring to a bottle of wine. Anyone that knows me knows how much I LOVE wine. Lol. It was so simple and sweet and perfect.
When searching for your engagement photographer, what did you have to have? I want someone who would embrace my crazy ideas and allow us to be ourselves. We love nature and so it was important to find a photographer that would incorporate the outdoors and our animals into this stage of life for us. I also wanted something unique. We have so many friends also getting married this year that we didn’t want our pictures to look like everyone else’s.
What made you chose Brit Nicole? Your spontaneous style, the unique scenic backgrounds, the uniqueness of your work and all of your pictures look like you allow your clients to genuinely have a blast! Which we did, by the way!
What was your experience like during the session? It was so much fun. I loved every minute of working with you. And although Tyler wasn’t enthusiastic at first, when we got back in the truck after the session he complimented how much fun you made it for him and keeps asking if our pictures are ready! Haha.
What was your most memorable part of the session? I love how much fun you made the whole session! You took out the awkwardness and just allowed us to have fun and be unique!
