I was in Wichita, KS training a new employee for a week in May 2017. I decided to stay through the weekend when a colleague talked me into getting on Bumble and going on a date to get a “free dinner” while in town. I was not into the dating scene and was not very familiar with dating apps but thought it would be fun to try. I “swiped right” and when he liked me back I gave a charming and original pick up line of “hi” to which he replied, “I don’t know about you but I could use a drink.” You see, it was Cinco de Mayo but he had no intention of going to actually have drinks that evening. He was making small talk while he was visiting his parents and falling asleep on their couch watching tv. I was not aware of this and headed to the bar to wait for him there. Needless to say, I guilt tripped him into meeting me. We spent the entire weekend together and the next weekend I was meeting him in Dallas. I fell in love and knew I couldn’t let this man go. 13 days later I was moving to Wichita, KS from Amarillo, TX and we got an apartment together. Can you say “fools rush in?!”
I asked Steven this question and his response was him taking off his blindfold and seeing me for the first time as I am about to walk down to marry him and immediately following that special moment was me getting stuck on a rock! I think my favorite is being in one of the most beautiful places of all God’s creation and not being able to take my eyes off of him. Another great memory is how much fun we had the entire morning. There was no stress or worries. Everything was absolutely perfect. Even the unperfect was perfect. If that makes any sense.
Two pieces of advice to future brides: Remember that this special moment is for you and your future husband. No one else! Decided together what is the right way for both of you to enter marriage together. And second, enjoy the season of being engaged. You only get to say fiance for a short span of time. Cherish it!
I had first heard of Brit Nicole while working in the bridal industry for a short period of time many many years ago. My first encounter with her did nothing short of showing me how hard of a worker she is, how passionate she is about she does and also how much she cares about your brides and grooms. The next time I ran into Brit she was the photographer at my brothers’ wedding and I was recently engaged. I told her our plan of eloping to Barbados and we decided to exchange information to discuss her possibly joining us for this adventure. Pictures were the #1 priority for me from the beginning and my fiance at the time knew I would not accept anything less than the absolute best! Not only did Brit make sure I was getting the exact wedding I wanted she went above and beyond to help me plan everything from talking me into a sunrise wedding to finding me an officiant! Our wedding would not be what it was without Brit Nicole being involved. She made my dream wedding come true! And even more, important my husband and I have gained close friendships along with way. Besides saying yes to my husband hiring her for our adventures sunrise elopement in the Carribean was the easiest and best decision we made in the entire planning process.
