The start of fall and ends with a typical summer night of getting rained out. It doesn’t matter though because this wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen this year. The woods, logs, smell of rain in the distance, butterflies everywhere, it couldn’t have been any more perfect. One thing that I will always keep with me is the look on your dad’s face the first time he saw you, and yours and your grandpas dance. I bawled like a baby and if I could go back in time to do my wedding again, I would add that in. A MUST have dance with my Papa.

How did you two meet?
Well it’s really not a sweet fall head over heels the second we saw each other kind of story. When I moved to Dumas from Guymon I started working at BigR with my best friend Brittany and she would tell me about this guy that she thought was really sweet and would be a good friend for me to maybe start hanging out with. So that’s exactly what we did. I would hang out with him almost every night after work. We just became really good friends. Plus we’d flirt a little back and forth then one night he just leaned in and kissed me! (Which he swears I made the first move) not true lol then the rest just became history we were inseparable after that!

 

 What is one of the best memories that stood out to you?
The one thing that shocked me and melted my heart was my brother buying me a new pair of earrings and giving them to me that day! ❤️ Then also getting to share such a special dance with my dad and grandfather. I know they aren’t gonna be around forever which I can’t even think about right now. But getting that special moment with both of them meant the absolute world to me!

 

If you could give a new bride a solid piece of advice, what will it be?
Let your love be stronger than hate or anger. Learn the wisdom of compromise, for it is better to bend a little than to break. Believe the best rather than the worst. Remember that true friendship is the basis for any lasting relationship. Words by Jane Wells only remember her name, not the book I read it in.
