Big Bend National Park Elopement Texas<\/h2>\n

Big Bend elopements are baller. I have shot an intimate sunrise small wedding in Big Bend (click here to see)<\/a> and fell in love to the point where I almost died when Katherine reached out to me for a sunset. I have loved scouting locations for this elopement and can’t wait for more.<\/h3>\n

As a Texas native, when I get to go to the mountains that are STILL in Texas, I know it’s going to be an amazing day. Actually, no… That’s a lie… If I get to shoot a wedding wearing my Merrell hiking boots vs heels, THAT’S an amazing day. This place is a huge “come to Jesus” place for me. You have mountains cascading behind each other, wildlife that you can only get in this part of Texas, a crap ton of stars like I’ve never seen before and an open desert feel that makes me feel like I’m in a Breaking Bad show.<\/p>\n

“We were both nervous about taking tons of photos because pictures aren’t our thing. We always feel we look so awkward in them and nervous about being uncomfortable with strangers. Brit Nicole Photography made us feel so comfortable and helped us have so much fun! Brittney was able to release a lot of stress and fears that came with COVID, along with unexpected closures, but Brittney planned everything to a T and got us excited all over again!”<\/p>\n

We had a few hick-ups planning Katherine and Taylors elopement just due to the fact COVID shut everything down, but honestly, that didn’t matter or stop us. We just shifted and rolled with it and the elopement day couldn’t have gone any better. It was perfect. There were lots of belly laughs and deep-felt tears that happened throughout the day and ended with a\u00a0 perfect fire by the tent under the massive stars and milky way. I mean, there was a moment through the night were we all stopped to search for something that went “missing”, but I promised Taylor I wouldn’t call him out on it…. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Katherine told me she wanted me to find all the amazing places, so that’s what I did. I found my most favorite spots and picked a baller location for the ceremony. I am still so honored that I got to be a part of something so special and also marry them. Just them two, their vows, and their dying love to just marry each other tied into the perfect adventure elopement here in Texas.<\/p>\n

One of my favorite things about this couple is that after the elopement was said and done, they went backcountry camping throughout Big Bend and sent me photos and updates, just so I could live vicariously for a little bit. I’ll share a bit of their “honeymoon” from the backwoods below! They came upon a bear at their campsite and the bear wouldn’t leave, they ended up abandoning that idea and had to settle for a hotel for the night since the bear obviously wanted their spot more than they did.<\/p>\n
