This was the most perfect South Texas summer outdoor intimate wedding anyone could ask for. You can just feel the connection and the strong love between Si + Jena that it gives you just a small glimpse of how God sees us. If you have ever been around these two you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Jena + Si Sparrow Creek Ranch is located close to Wild Catter Ranch. We love shooting weddings in this area, when you’re finished stalking Si + Jenas Sparrow Creek Ranch you should hop on over to Tate + Emily’s Wild Catter Shin Dig by clicking HERE. The owners of Sparrow Creek Ranch actually built the barn by themselves by using reclaimed items from the junkyard that he owns. It’s pretty inspiring and super cool, it’s something you need to go visit!

Si and I met at a young adult ministry at church in Amarillo, Texas. He had seen me a few weeks before and apparently scouted me out until he had the guts to come say hello. He had asked someone there who I was and then had them introduce him to the group of girls I was talking with. Shortly after, he found me on Facebook and shot me a message. We began messaging, he got my number, and we continued to talk back and forth. He was leaving to go to Bethel worship school and I was leaving to go to Colorado on vacation. Little did I know that during this time, he told his grandma that he was going to marry me one day. On the way back from our trips, Si made the move and asked me on a date. We went to church the Sunday he came back, went to Texas Roadhouse after, got Texas Tea, and played games and talked for hours on end. After our first couple of dates, I told my sister “You are going to think I am crazy, but I think I am going to marry him someday. I think I found my person.” After 5 months of dating, Si proposed on Christmas day. This may seem fast, but I have never been more sure that he is the one for me. At Christmas, we were building gingerbread houses for competition between my family and everyone was going to vote on the best one. After we were all done building, the vote was cast, and Si and I won! My mom said that she had got a prize for the winner. She handed me the gift, and when I opened it there was a ring box. Si got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I of course said YES!

My most favorite memory from our wedding was washing each other’s feet during the ceremony, it was really special. Vowing to always serve each other really means a lot. To be willing to say to each other, that we will in a sense “do the dirty work in life” together not just the pretty moments means a lot!

The best advice I would give a new bride would be to not stress over the small things, but to focus on what’s most important about your wedding day which is getting to marry the love of your life! Everything will all fall into place, and the most important thing is not the things at all, it’s the person who you will spend your life with!

I’m so happy we hired Brit Nicole Photography because looking at Brit’s work alone will make you want to choose her! She captures moments so well and the emotions that people feel! She was so fun to work with during our engagement pictures (which you can find our sunrise adventure engagement photos HERE) and captured everything so well, and we knew she would do the same for our wedding!

This was the most perfect South Texas summer outdoor intimate wedding anyone could ask for.
