Something Blue, Angleton, TX

We grew up together in the same small town. In high school, we both were in the marching band and we both played soccer so we had a lot of mutual friends and interests. After turning him down a couple of times, I finally agreed to date him (He’s very persistent!). After only a few months of dating, we were practically inseparable. We became best friends and have been for the past eight years!

Our most favorite thing from our day, besides being together with our closest friends and family in one of the most beautiful places on this Earth, we both agree our favorite memory was our sunrise hike that morning. Watching the sunrise come up over the mountains was absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect moment for both of us to take a breath and really soak in what was happening.

If you could give advice to a new bride, what would it be?
When we first started the wedding planning process, I read an article about what couples regretted most about their wedding day. Most of the answers had something to do with stressing over the little details that are missed anyways, trying to please everyone, and the day being so hectic that they don’t remember it. That wasn’t anything close to being what we wanted so we decided early on to keep it small and simple, make it OUR day, and most importantly to just live in the moment. We did exactly that and neither of us have any regrets! So my advice is to truly just be in the moment and to only focus on what is important, celebrating the relationship and commitment you have with your partner.

What made you trust Brit Nicole to capture the most important parts of your wedding day?
Brittney captures the most special moments in the most beautiful way. After seeing several of her adventurous elopement sessions with other couples, we chose Brit Nicole to take our engagement photos in Palo Duro Canyon. I knew we had chosen the perfect photographer to join us for our adventurous elopement after that! I don’t know many other photographers that will hike up at 4 o’clock in the morning in bear and mountain lion country to take first look photos. Brit Nicole was easily one of the best decisions we made!
